Sooner Late Models, Factory Stocks, Sport Mods, Hot Shots, Bomber race Saturday at Enid Speedway

By John Rittenoure - ENID, Okla. (August 31, 2026) - What better way to kick off the month of September than attending a night of dirt track racing racing at Enid Speedway.

Saturday night, September 5, the gates swing open for a full night stock car racing. The Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation Sooner Late Model Series will highlight the night for the fifth time this season along with Factory Stocks, Sport Mods / B-Mods, Hot Shots / Tuners and Bombers racing in regular points competition.

On August 15 12-year old Callan Hill of Lawton made history at Enid with his victory in the Sooner Late Model feature. Hill, racing for only the third time in a late model, became the youngest driver to win a Sooner Series feature and probably the youngest driver to take a checkered at Enid Speedway.

Eric Brill comes into the night leading the points chase by just 40 points over Dakota Dellinger of Hutchinson, Kansas. Rookie Ashlee Buck, of Roswell, New Mexico, sits in third and leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

Joe Adams leads the Factory Stock chase with three victories on the season, Austin Siegmann sits atop the Sport Mod standings with two feature wins, Seth Bolster holds down the points lead in Hot Shots despite still looking for his first victory, and James Burress of Wichita is on top of the Bomber division.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and grandstands at 5. Hot laps hit the track around 7 followed by racing at 7:30.

Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation

Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation goal is to help grow both high school, trade school and college programs to start and or develop a motorsports program, club, or organizations at their school as well as individual motorsports programs. HRMF will provide financial grants, equipment, expertise, scholarships, and educational opportunities for these organizations and individuals. This program will allow students to overcome the hurdle of entering motorsports due to the high costs and specialized experience needed to get started. This program will allow these students the opportunity to be part of a team with one overall goal of success on the track, including budgeting, marketing, mechanical skills, logistics, and team building efforts. All while honoring the life lost to early of Hayden Diesel Ross, #forever66.

Sooner Late Model Series

The Sooner Late Model Series was formed in 2016 by Enid Speedway co-promoter Mark Brill. Brill felt there was not many opportunities for late model competitors to race in Oklahoma and the Sooner Late Model Series was formed. Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Missouri, and Arkansas.
