ENID SPEEDWAY FUNDRAISER RACE TO SUPPORT MAJOR TRACK IMPROVEMENTS

ENID, Okla. — Enid Speedway is calling on race fans, race teams, families, friends and the Northwest Oklahoma community to come together for a special 2026 Enid Speedway Upgrades Fundraiser Race this upcoming weekend. Proceeds from the event will help support planned repairs and improvements designed to enhance safety, racing conditions and the overall experience at Enid Speedway.
The fundraiser comes at an exciting time for the Speedway as track personnel and the Garfield County Fairgrounds work together on a number of significant improvements to the racing facility.
Planned improvements include:
* New LED lighting throughout the Speedway and pit areas
* Removal of the existing concrete wall and redesign of runoff areas to improve safety
* Reconfiguration of Turns 3 and 4 back toward the track’s original design after the turns have gradually moved approximately 15 feet north over the years
* Removal of the north fence surrounding the horse track to allow for expansion of the pit area
* Drainage improvements throughout the pit area
The support of the Garfield County Fairgrounds has been instrumental in moving these projects forward and demonstrates the strong relationship that has developed between Fairgrounds management and Enid Speedway personnel.
“The Garfield County Fairgrounds stepping up to help make these improvements speaks volumes about their belief in Enid Speedway and the potential they see for its future,” Speedway organizers said. “We are fortunate to have Fairgrounds management behind these improvement efforts and working alongside us to continue making this a facility our racers, fans and community can be proud of.”
Last year’s benefit race, which helped generate funds for improvements to the Speedway’s catch fence, demonstrated just how strongly racers and fans support Enid Speedway. The tremendous response from the racing community did not go unnoticed by Fairgrounds management and helped build momentum for the next phase of improvements.
While the Garfield County Fairgrounds is helping make many of the planned upgrades possible, projects of this size also come with considerable expense. Speedway personnel have been asked to share in the financial responsibility for the improvements, making this weekend’s fundraiser an important part of moving the projects forward.
Enid Speedway organizers are asking the community to once again show its support by coming out to the track, filling the stands and helping invest in the future of local racing.
Every ticket purchased, every race team that participates and every fan who comes through the gate helps Enid Speedway move one step closer to completing these improvements.
Enid Speedway has a long history of bringing generations of families together for exciting dirt-track racing, and organizers want to ensure that tradition continues for many years to come.
“We cannot thank our race teams, fans, families, friends, sponsors and community enough for continuing to support Enid Speedway,” organizers said. “This track means a great deal to a lot of people, and we want everyone who supports racing in Northwest Oklahoma to know they are an important part of its future.”
With the planned improvements, the continued partnership with the Garfield County Fairgrounds and strong support from the racing community, Enid Speedway is carrying positive momentum into the 2027 season.
The goal is clear: continue improving the facility and make Enid Speedway one of the premier places to race in Oklahoma.
Race fans throughout Enid and Northwest Oklahoma are encouraged to attend this weekend’s fundraiser race, bring their families and friends, support the racers and be part of the effort to build an even stronger future for Enid Speedway.
Come for the racing. Support the Speedway. Help us build the future of Enid Speedway — together.
